How can I book an appointment online?

By using the Doctolib mobile app, you can book online appointments at desired healthcare practitioners. You can use an existing account or create a new one during the booking process.

On the mobile application On Doctolib's website
  1. Open the Doctolib application
  2. Log in/create your Doctolib account
  3. Go to the profile of the practitioner you have selected
  4. Select the consultation location if the practitioner has more than one
    • The distance is limited to 30 kilometers.
  5. Click on Book an appointment
  6. Choose whether you would like an in-office consultation or a video consultation
  7. Select your preferred reason for visit from those proposed by the practitioner
  8. Select the day and time of your consultation
  9. Indicate whether the appointment is for you or a loved one, and answer any questions you may have.
  10. If the appointment is not for you, it is important to enter the details of your relative so that the practitioner can have the right information.
  11. Confirm the appointment
  12. Once you've selected an appointment slot on the practitioner's calendar, the appointment is reserved for you for 15 minutes, to allow you to confirm it
    • After this time, the slot will be available again on the practitioner's calendar.

The appointment is confirmed and can be found in the My appointments section of your account.

Which notifications related to my appointment will I receive?
  • If the appointment is for you, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address entered in your Doctolib patient account;
  • If the appointment is for a relative and you have entered his/her e-mail address, you and your relative will receive a confirmation e-mail;
  • An SMS reminder will be sent 24 to 48 hours before the appointment;
  • If the mobile application is installed on your smartphone and push notifications are enabled, you will not receive an SMS but a push notification.
  • If necessary, you can add the appointment to your personal calendar.
Additional information if this is a substitute

If your HCP is not on duty on the day of your consultation, this will be specified when you book online and afterwards.

Be notified when you book online

  • A dark blue dot next to the hours of availability indicates that this slot is occupied by a replacement for your regular doctor. You will also find information about the substitute.
  • Before confirming your online booking, you will be shown a summary of your appointment, together with information about the substitute.

After the online booking

  • In the appointment overview, you'll see the information relating to the substitute who will be covering the appointment.
